The growth in spirituality differs in different person. The personalities differ. One may be so wise and experienced while the other is so young. I am at the younger stage of my spirituality. The fight is going inside me; the fight between the consciousness and the mind. The harmony has to be reached. It takes time, patience and experience to reach there. One who thinks he reached there soon and thinks only of himself is a fool! He doesn’t see that that thought about his own self itself is a sign that shows his lack of wisdom.
Passion is a good trait but sometimes passion can make you blind to consciousness. Passion can do harm as much as it can do well. When one deals with passion one has to be careful and listen to the consciences inside. The stability has to be reached. The uncontrolled untamed passion can lead one to self destruction; his ability to listen to his inner self.
One reaches different levels by observing and experiencing and growing thru it. Growing doesn’t mean “use and spit” policy. Growing happens when you are able to learn something thru the experience. Times do come when we all feel unstable, and faith is us is what would guide us thru those times. The faith in ourselves, faith in our guide, our consciousness. When one listens to ones consciousness one will not be able to harm another. But then if we decide our mind to manipulate our beliefs then we may do harm to others as well. And also thinking of ourselves only is not about consciousness.. That trait is of selfishness... when we think of our own growth; and nothing else! We may not be able to make another grow, but we can certainly show a path, an example.
There was a time when I believed that another can make you grow. Not anymore. I now believe that another cannot make us grow but us ourselves. What we gained is not from another, but from ourselves. The knowing happens inside us. Another was just on the path. The other can be a reason but she cannot make you grow. The other can set an example, or be a guide but never make us grow.
Namaste.
